Raptor Tech is a local Illinois company specializing in engineering and manufacturing Steel Crane Mats for the crane and rigging industry. In addition to Steel Crane Mats, Raptor Tech offers three different plastic outrigger pad options, The Outrigger Pad Rack, Crawler Crane Mats, and custom crane accessories. Customers range from local crane companies to some of the largest construction and energy companies in the world.

Outrigger Pad Launch
One of the largest projects I was a part of at Raptor Tech was launching their plastic outrigger pad line.
The plastic outrigger pad line includes three different outrigger pad designs to meet different customer needs: Economy, Premium, and Area Plus, and is a complementary product to Steel Crane Mats. The plastic outrigger pad launch aimed to attract new customer segments and create opportunities for cross-selling, strengthening Raptor Tech’s competitive advantage.
The Premium Outrigger Pad was launched in March 2023, followed by the Area Plus Outrigger Pad in February 2024, and finally, the Economy Outrigger Pad launched in March 2024. My tasks across all outrigger pad designs included building out webpages, creating email campaigns, posting the product across social media, working with a freelancer to generate CGI images, and designing product information sheets.
I was able to utilize the following skills and tools: social media marketing, web design, email marketing, copywriting, project management, digital design, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, WordPress, Zoho Campaigns, Google Analytics, Freelancer, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Photoshop.

Social Media Management
Raptor Tech’s main social media accounts are LinkedIn and Instagram. Both channels had similar goals which were to increase brand awareness within the crane and rigging industry and keep followers up-to-date on company and product information. Creating content calendars, tracking post-performance, taking product images, creating content, and engaging with other companies in the industry were all part of my day-to-day social media work at Raptor Tech.
I was able to utilize the following skills and tools: social media marketing, strategy development, community management, Meta Business Suite, and LinkedIn.
